Sound Design for Orbital

Olly has worked professionally in the audio industry for over 15 years. His career has covered many aspects of live and recorded audio, including rock n roll concert touring, corporate events, Olympic games events, outside broadcast and many theatre productions. During 2018, Olly took up an exciting new role at Orbital Sound, London, specialising in Sound Design and worling hard to further develop the company’s Creative Design division.

Career highlights outside of musical theatre design include operating audio for the 2012 London Olympic Games and during 2015, operating audio for Stephen Sondheim’s 85th Birthday concert, featuring a symphony orchestra, and over 50 performances of songs from Stephen Sondheim.

Recent theatre productions include: El Medico el Musical (World Premiere, Madrid), Trioperas (World Premiere, London), Fat Friends the Musical (World Premiere and UK Tour), 42nd Street (Drury Lane Theatre, London), Young Frankenstein (Garrick Theatre, London), Bat Out of Hell (World Premiere, London and Toronto Seasons), Battle of Boat (World Premiere, Kinston Theatre, London), Strictly Ballroom (West Yorkshire Playhouse and Toronto Seasons), Disney’s Cinderella (Rossiya Theatre, Moscow), Singin’ in the Rain (Rossiya Theatre, Moscow), The Producers (Touring Production, UK), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Paris, Moscow and Netherlands Productions), Rocky Horror Show (UK and Australian Tours), Sister Act (Circus Theatre, Netherlands).
